The Volu-Firm® Complex:
A biomimetic peptide: A tri-peptide shown in vitro to help boost the production of collagen and elastin, components of the dermal matrix that help support and firm the skin.
A skin-volume-supporting plant extract (Alpinia galanga leaf extract): Boosts production of collagen and elastin proteins, that are known to decline with age. Hyaluronic acid is the skin’s most prominent proteoglycan. Over time, hyaluronic acid decreases, skin begins to slacken, and the face appears less contoured. Alpinia galanga leaf extract has been shown to promote the synthesis of hyaluronic acid and inhibits* the enzymes that degrade hyaluronic acid to repair and protect the skin’s youthful appearance.
